Trade Mission from Durham November 2017

A Trade Mission, organised by the UK Government Department of International Trade and the British Embassy in Dublin  visited Ireland from the 28th to 30th November 2017.  This Trade Mission consisted of 13 small Companies from County Durham to explore the potential of the Irish market and establish partnerships with Irish businesses.

The management and coordination of this Trade Mission was organised by Alcomis, an Irish Business, who made contact with targeted Irish organisations and arranged meetings to explore the business opportunity. The objective of those participating in this mission was to develop an understanding of the Irish market for products and services and how to serve this market amid the challenges posed by Brexit.

In all 51 meetings were organised with Irish Companies in the following sectors:

  • Clothes & Fashion
  • Digital Marketing and Creatives
  • Training and Development
  • Industrial Products
  • Leisure

After the visit follow up activities are taking place and a detailed review to assess the program and take the next steps to achieve business success.
